keeping our longest performance decks to date, incredibly light

select all of the materials that go into every board. Combining
the finest Baltic birch laminates with high-quality aerospace grade
carbon fiber and triaxial fiberglass, we have created the best performing
skateboards and made them affordable! Designed, built, and tested
extensively by top racers, our Performance Series decks should be
an essential part of every performance-oriented skateboarder's quiver.

The Pavedwave Mermaid LDP (Long
Distance Pumping) machine joined the line in 2007, with some subtle
shape changes tested and optimized for its natural environment --
the wide open trail. Their lightweight flex and refined, functional
designs are the culmination of several years and thousands of ride
miles.
The board was designed and road-tested by James Peters (pavedwave.org)
and the name "Mermaid" came from John Stryker. Gareth's
perfect recipe for responsive, long-lived flex completes the magic.
The extra width results in a strong, powerful, yet graceful pumping
deck for flatland miles. Then point it downhill and discover how
comfortable you'll feel at speed, carving endless turns.
